专利说明:
[0001] The subject of the present invention is a mill for condiment products, such as in particular cinnamon sticks, housing a storage tank for the condiment product communicating, through a passage, with a grinding mechanism, said tank being equipped with means fragmentation of the condiment product. [0002] More specifically, the invention relates more particularly to manual or electric mills intended to transform condiments of a coarse, dry, hard nature, and sometimes of large dimensions, such as in particular Jamaican pepper, long pepper, clove, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, nuts, peppers, sugar cubes, tea, etc., from their raw state to a texture that is both adapted to the intended use, and to an optimal exhalation of their aromas. [0003] Currently, many accessories for the transformation of condiment products into fine particles, even powder, based on different operating principles, are available on the market. [0004] A first category of them conventionally comprises a grinding mechanism and a tank, if necessary transparent and refillable, in which a condiment is stored, depending on the case whole, or previously reduced to fragments of a size compatible with the structure of the grinding mechanism. In this regard, this step, carried out before filling the tank, can be carried out manually, using a knife or a grater for example, or using a spice shaker specifically dedicated to this use, and comprising suitable fragmentation means. [0005] It is also possible to use devices consisting of a tank and grating means, recommended for reducing products such as nutmeg or cinnamon sticks to powder. [0006] Furthermore, a more complete device, based on a combination of chopping means and grinding means, described in the publication EP 1 605 805, is also available on the market. However, although it is studied to reduce to powder products with a relatively soft or crumbly texture in the raw state, such as in particular garlic, chilli, orange peel, etc., it has been observed that this device proves to be ineffective with regard to products with a dry and hard texture. [0007] It should also be emphasized that in order to preserve the volatile aromas of the spices as much as possible, their transformation into a more or less fine powder must imperatively be carried out from their raw state and at the time of their tasting or the preparation of the dish to which they are incorporated. Thus, spice lovers are generally reluctant to buy them pre-ground or already finely ground, as they are aware of the loss of quality suffered. Accessories based on the use of pre-processed condiment products will therefore not be able to satisfy such an audience. [0008] On the other hand, the grinding mechanism with which standard mills are equipped is suitable for grinding products or fragments of products of a given size. Grinding products of very different sizes, such as cinnamon sticks or dried chilli, is therefore impossible using the same mill of this type. In other words, this solution involves having several mills, each dedicated to a given category of spice. [0009] The technology consisting in grating the condiment does not give complete satisfaction either, insofar as the grind obtained remains too coarse compared to the classically accepted quality criteria, according to which the latter is recognized when 80% of the particles composing it have a smaller diameter. at 500 µm. In addition, this type of technology does not make it possible to adjust the fineness of the grind, which is essential in the case of peppers for example. The same goes for “shaker” type accessories that only allow you to roughly break up and mix condiment products, but not to reduce them finely to powder. [0010] Thus, the present applicant has observed that none of the accessories offered for sale to date represents a satisfactory solution for reducing to fine and homogeneous powder a multiplicity of different condiment products of a dry, hard nature, sometimes of large size, when they are used raw, and therefore not altered by prior treatment. [0011] The present invention therefore aims to provide a new type of mill specifically designed to provide, from dry and hard condiment products, used raw to take full advantage of their taste and nutritional qualities, a fine and homogeneous grind, in which at least 80% of the particles obtained have a diameter of less than 500 μm. Another objective of the invention is to provide for such a mill a robust structure making it possible to guarantee its longevity and to preserve the safety of the user. The solution envisaged also aims to free the user from the need to have a given mill for a given product, through a configuration suitable for use with a plurality of different condiment products. [0012] To this end, the present invention relates to a mill of the type indicated in the preamble, characterized in that the fragmentation means are defined by means for crushing the condiment product. [0013] In particular, provision is made for the crushing means to comprise at least one solid body disposed freely in the tank. [0014] In accordance with a preferred embodiment variant of the invention, the tank is defined by a hollow cylinder, of internal diameter d , closed by a vault and having a bottom comprising at least one inlet orifice towards said passage, while the solid body is defined by a ball of diameter D less than d . [0015] Moreover, in this case, the diameter d of the reservoir is preferably greater than or equal to 1.5 times the diameter D of the ball. [0016] An additional characteristic of the mill according to the invention is defined by the fact that the ball preferably has a mass m between 55g and 75g while the tank has a height L between 3cm and 15cm depending on the type of condiment to be crushed. [0017] In order to further improve the efficiency of the splitting, the internal face of the tank can also comprise a plurality of ribs, which can be distributed radially on the roof and/or the bottom of said tank. [0018] According to another characteristic, the bottom of the reservoir preferably comprises several orifices delimited by said ribs. [0019] The mill according to the invention is also characterized in that it is preferably equipped with damping means arranged between the tank and the grinding mechanism, and making it possible to improve its robustness. [0020] On the other hand, in some cases, the reservoir may have a structure in which it is formed of two separable parts. [0021] In this case, the mill according to the invention can advantageously comprise damping means arranged between the two separable parts. [0022] According to a possible alternative embodiment, the damping means comprise at least one ring of elastomeric material. [0023] In accordance with the invention, provision is also made to associate means for adjusting the fineness of the grind to the grinding mechanism of the present mill. [0024] In order to avoid any blockage of the grinding mechanism by a fragment of condiment, said grinding mechanism is preferably provided with means for stirring the fragmented condiment product. [0025] The invention will be better understood, and other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear in the light of the following description of an alternative embodiment of the mill according to the invention given solely by way of indication and not limiting. [0026] The description should be read in conjunction with the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a front view of an alternative embodiment of a mill according to the invention, in which the tank consists of two separable parts, called “upper part” and “lower part”, Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the mill of Figure 1, Figure 3 is an enlarged view of detail D1 of Figure 2, Figure 4 is an enlarged view of detail D2 of Figure 2, Figure 5 is a longitudinal sectional view of the upper part of the reservoir that includes the mill of Figure 1, Figure 6 is a bottom view of the upper part of the tank that includes the mill of Figure 1, Figure 7 is a longitudinal sectional view of the lower part of the tank that includes the mill of Figure 1, and Figure 8 illustrates part of the mill of Figure 1, seen from below. [0027] In accordance with the figures, in the variant embodiment illustrated, the mill 1 for condiment products according to the invention comprises a body 2 housing a reservoir 3 for storing a condiment product communicating, through a passage 5, with a mechanism for grind 4. The latter conventionally comprises a toothed pear 40, rotatable in a toothed bowl 41 through a rod 42 intended to be actuated by a user manipulating the mill 1. [0028] It is specified that the various constituent parts of the mill 1 are made from materials conventionally used for this purpose, suitable for the food sector, such as for example a plastic material, wood, ceramic, metal, or any other material having equivalent properties. [0029] Referring to Figures 2 and 4, in the variant embodiment illustrated, the tank 3 is defined by a hollow cylinder, having a length L of the order of 15cm and an internal diameter d around 4cm. Reservoir 3 is closed by a vault 8 and comprises a bottom 9 provided with a plurality of inlet orifices 90 (cf. fig. 7) towards passage 5, specifically shaped to allow only fragments whose size is adapted to the grinding mechanism 4 with which the mill 1 is provided, the others remaining retained in the tank 3 until they have the required size. [0030] More specifically, the tank 3 is formed of a first part, called "upper part" 6 and a second part called "lower part" 7 separable, respectively comprising the vault 8 and the bottom 9. The lower end 60 of the upper part 6 and the upper end 70 of the lower part 7 have a complementary structure, so as to allow their interlocking. Furthermore, the presence of a thread on each of the ends 60, 70 makes it possible to ensure, in their nested state, the blocking in position of the upper 6 and lower 7 parts relative to each other. Providing such a structure in two parts of the tank 3 makes it possible, after separation of the upper part 6 from the lower part 7, to provide access to the internal volume 10 of the tank 3, in particular in order to place the condiment product to be ground there. . [0031] It should be noted that in the variant embodiment illustrated, the lower part 7 and the body 2 of the mill 1 are mounted in rotation relative to each other, the pear 40 of the grinding mechanism 4 being integral with the part lower 7, while the bowl 41 is integral with the body 2. [0032] In accordance with the invention, a ball 11, for example made of metal, whose mass m is around 65g, and the diameter D of the order of 2cm is disposed freely in the internal volume 10 of the tank 3, in which it is therefore able to move in all directions under the action of a shaking of the mill 1 by a user. In fact, the ball 11, projected onto a condiment product contained in the reservoir 3, makes it possible to mix the latter and to reduce it into small fragments of uniform size and shape, able to pass through the orifices 90 and to be gradually introduced into the passage 5 to supply the grinding mechanism 4 with particles which can be transformed by the latter into quality powder. [0033] In accordance with the invention, the dimensions of the reservoir 3 and of the ball 11, as well as the mass of the latter, are specifically calculated to allow efficient fractionation of all condiment products of a dry and hard nature in the raw state, whatever regardless of their shape, size or density. Thus, the mill 1 according to the invention has a certain versatility and is suitable for reducing to powder of high taste quality, of adequate particle size and pleasant texture, all the spices or condiments having a dry and hard nature, it is that is, cinnamon as well as star anise, long pepper or cloves, etc. [0034] Furthermore, it should be noted that in the embodiment variant considered, the tank 3 has a diameter d equal to twice the diameter D of the ball 11. Such a feature advantageously makes it possible to prevent the condiment product from remaining stuck in the reservoir 3, between the internal face of that and the ball 11 and to guarantee that it continuously supplies the grinding mechanism, a once reduced to small fragments capable of entering passage 5. [0035] In addition, as illustrated in the figures, the internal face of the reservoir 3 comprises a plurality of ribs 12, 13 respectively distributed radially on its roof 8 and its bottom 9 on which they delimit the various inlet orifices 90 towards the passage 5. In short, these ribs define a plurality of protuberances pointing towards the internal volume 10 of the reservoir 3 and on which the ball 11 and the condiment product undergo additional shocks, thus improving the fragmentation and the mixing of the said product. [0036] In order to guarantee the solidity and robustness of the mill 1, damping means are provided, defined by two rings 14, 15 of elastomeric material arranged, for one, between the reservoir 3 and the grinding mechanism 4 and, for the another, between the upper 6 and lower 7 parts of the tank 3. These rings 14, 15 make it possible to absorb the shocks due to the successive displacements of the ball 11 in the tank 3 and to preserve the integrity of the constituent elements of the mill 1 and therefore user safety. [0037] In the variant embodiment illustrated, the grinding mechanism 4 also advantageously comprises means for mixing the fragments of condiment product introduced into the passage 5 making it possible to prevent pieces from stagnating in the latter. [0038] Means 16 for adjusting the fineness of the grind, making it possible to adjust the distance extending between the outer wall of the pear 40 and the inner wall of the bowl 41 are also provided in the alternative embodiment illustrated in the figures (cf. . Fig. 8). [0039] In practice, when using the mill 1 according to the invention, the user first introduces the condiment product to be ground into the reservoir 3 by accessing its internal volume 10 following separation of the upper parts 6 and lower 7. Once the latter have been reassembled, the user first has to shake the mill 1 at a substantially constant speed so that the condiment product is fragmented into smaller pieces capable of passing through the orifices 90 of the bottom of the tank and to penetrate into the space extending between the pear 40 and the bowl 41. A rotational movement applied for example to the body 2 of the mill 1 with respect to the lower part 7 of the reservoir 3, then makes it possible to cause the rotation of the bowl 41 with respect to the pear 40, and consequently to grind the previously fragmented condiment product into a fine powder.
